Holy hell, this place was something. It is not for the faint of heart. I wish I could have taken a few more photos but between making sure my five-year-old didn’t take a wrong turn and fall down a flight of stairs — he definitely wanted to make it all the way to the top tower, but someone here isn’t a huge fan of heights. But if you are, this is the place for you!

Their website states, “For nearly 60 years, Jim Bishop has been constructing one of the most impressive monuments to perseverance in Colorado. Bishop Castle is a monumental statue in stone and iron that cries loud testament to the beauty and glory of not only Having a Dream, but Sticking with your Dream no matter what … Three full stories of interior rooms complete with a Grand Ballroom, soaring towers and bridges with vistas of a hundred miles, and a Fire-Breathing Dragon.”
