via Galería MUY

From Maruch Méndez:
“In this work, it talks about three women who came from the red land above Ixtapa, they came to herd their sheep in a place where they found good grass. These three girls always sat on a wavy rock, they sat there all the time. They always sat there. Those who were going to herd their sheep only sat in that place, months passed and they were still there, but they did not know that that place was a source of water for animals like the tiger, the fox, the badger, the armadillo and the squirrel. Since they arrived very early, they left until very late, the tiger just went around and around all the time, he wanted to drink water, but he can’t because there are the girls. This jaguar, since he was thirsty, asked the snakes that was to scare the girls, there where they were sitting the snakes arrived, they were not scared and said that the snakes only came to rest on the stones, above there are three streams, the owner of the stream shouted loudly: girls, something is going to happen to you. pass to the three, something is going to happen in their lives, they did not pay attention and did not take importance to what they heard. The next day they went to herd and sat in the same place, suddenly they disappeared, in the blink of an eye they were no longer there, they turned into very giant rocks, before they were sitting all day, but now their punishment is to stand all the time turned into big rocks, their parents cried and cried because they looked for their daughters everywhere but never found them, they punished them because they made the children of nature suffer by covering up the place where they drank water.”
