Reneesha Mccoy Brings You The “Consequences of Life and Nature”, Dozens of New Works Available

Sometimes before artists can make space for new new work, they have to sell all the work they have. That’s the case with the magnificent Reneesha Mccoy.

The amount of work that Reneesha, working artist and mother of three, outputs is awe-inspiring. Her exploration of various mediums and constant challenging of herself to explore new methods in her artistic practice is wonderful.

This work, much different than work she has done in the past, continues to explore the female form and the consequences of life and nature concerning the female body. Her work is always stunning, most often in abstract and beautiful ways, and continues to bring a smile to my face.

A principle theme in Reneesha’s work is her celebration of the consequence of life and nature in relation to the  female body, often in abstracted ways. She uses her personal experience to highlight the internal and external  effects of childbirth, particularly the physical changes that occur from breastfeeding.

Reneesha’s artistic process involves studying the anatomy of the female form and challenging herself to present her interpretation in new and conceptual ways. As a mother of three living and working in North Carolina, these works are as gorgeous as they are inspiring.

RENEESHA MCCOY

RENEESHA MCCOY is a self-taught artist who began her artistic practice in 2019, living and working in North Carolina. She works primarily in acrylics and  oil pastels, though in some of her works you’ll notice the additional exploration of various mediums like colored  pencil, ink, and paint markers.

About the FolkArtwork Collective

It brings me great pleasure to introduce the FolkArtwork Collective — a fantastic group of self-taught and emerging artists from across the globe. Jackie Bradshaw, Esteban Whiteside, Sarah Lee, Noel Hatfield, Peppermint House, Reneesha Mccoy, Jordan Sullivan, Gabrielle K Brown, and Christopher Bame are the first artists to bring original artwork directly to the FolkArtwork web store on both FolkArtwork.art/shop and directly on Instagram.

After four years of running this account, sharing daily art by great outsider and self-taught artists who are no longer with us, I am thrilled to share this space with current artists to assist in their artistic journey and bring their artwork to the masses and maybe to a home near you.

I am excited to see FolkArtwork evolve and grow. It will continue to share daily outsider artwork by some of the greatest artists ever, pictures from travels across the country, visiting unknown and hidden art environments, and now offering original artwork for sale.

Continuing to add more works and more artists in the coming months… stay tuned!
