VIDEO: Wesley Willis on Howard Stern (1996)

The multi-talented and wildly energetic singer, songwriter, and artist Wesley Willis went visited the Howard Stern show in 1996. While most of the interview is rather cringeworthy — while it seems Howard Stern has turned a bit of a corner in recent years, most of what he did in his early days definitely does not hold up — this excerpt of Wesley singing his new song “Baba Booey” and trying to sell Howard one of his original artworks is entertaining if not enjoyable.

Rock music pays off. Rock music takes me on a joy ride. Rock music keeps me off the hell city bus. Rock music will always look out for me.
