Shout Out to SAGE Studio & Gallery’s Latest Exhibit: Tandem

It’s no secret that one of my favorite studio and gallery’s is SAGE Studio & Gallery in Austin, Texas. From artist like Rich Fleming, Emily Dodson, and King Godwin, to the founders Lucy and Katie — not enough good things can be said about these wonderful people.

Which is why I would like to give their most recent show a shout out.

Tandem by SAGE Studio opened tonight, September 16th in Austin, Texas! A collaborative group exhibition where artists with and without disabilities spent a year mailing and sharing sketchbooks back and forth, creating collaborative artwork together, and getting to know one another through the creative process — culminating in the group exhibition this September at SAGE Studio & Gallery.

A few examples of the works on display:

From artists:

  • “Flower” by Payton McGowen // Colored pencil and collage on paper
  • “Butterflies and Flowers in the Summer” by Emily Dodson // Acrylic paint marker on paper
  • “Untitled” by David Sulak // Mixed Media on Paper
  • “When We Dance Together” by Heather Sundquist Hall // Gouache on Arches Hot Press Paper
  • “Come Play in the Waves I” by Charlie French // Acrylic on canvas
  • “The Waves at Night” by Will Bryant // Acrylic on primed canvas
